The handy Pet Corrector interrupts and helps put a stop to unwanted behaviour in dogs, from excessive barking to jumping up and chewing furniture.
How it works
This spray can with a horn releases an unpleasant noise for dogs, which interrupts and can help curb unwanted behaviour.
Training your dog with praise and training treats is the most stress-free way for you and your pet to discourage boisterousness. But if persistent barking, jumping up or chewing of furniture continues, you can use the Pet Corrector along with traditional training to help put a stop to it.
To use it, spray a short burst at least one metre away from your pet’s head to avoid damaging their sensitive ears. Only use during misbehaviour for the spray to work and reward positive actions with praise or a treat. Work on correcting one behaviour at a time, such as jumping up, before moving onto the next. That way, you’ll avoid confusing and distressing your pet.
Key benefits
- easy-to-use spray can with loud bugle
- hissing noise interrupts and helps stop unwanted behaviour
- use as a last resort if regular training with rewards doesn’t work
- dogs associate the sound with danger and stop what they’re doing
- use in moderation to avoid overly distressing your dog
When to use it
Use this product with moderation. As it emits a sound associated with danger, such as the hiss of a snake, an angry swan or the buzz of a dangerous insect, it may cause anxiety in your pet.
If your dog is barking excessively or chewing furniture, it could be down to lack of physical or mental stimulation. So, try play before you spray. Behavioural issues may also be caused by an underlying health problem, so ask your vet for advice. Never use the Pet Corrector on young puppies, anxious, rescue or hard-of-hearing pets.Â
